Knowing God.

Image3.jpg

In my last blog I talked about eternal life being about knowing God and Jesus and Holy Spirit. I thought I would share with you how I do that myself. I write this to Christians but also to every one else. The only thing you need to help you with this is the gift of tongues or speaking/praying in the spirit. It’s also good to ask Holy Spirit for help. I will go through how you receive this gift first before I share the rest.

One thing I will mention before I continue. In my other blog’s I have used a lot of scripture to back up what I have been saying. This how ever is a lot different as it is more about doing it than reading about it. I will use a few scriptures but I am mainly going on my own experience. I felt to share this with you so you could know God, Jesus and Holy Spirit in the way that I do. I am still getting to know them but it is a wonderful thing to feel their love. Do you need to be a Christian to do this? To be honest I don’t even know what a true Christian is anymore. I don’t even see myself as being one. If you love God and want to know Him and Jesus and Holy Spirit better then I think that is all you need.

I know there will be people who don’t agree with what I have to say. I understand that and respect your views. I would hope you would do the same for me. Love is the core here. I want every one to know God, Jesus and Holy Spirit’s love as I do and more. If I am teaching wrong things then I will have to answer for that when I meet them in the end. My intention is to bring people closer to God so I can’t see how that can be wrong.

The Gift of Tongues.

If you have never been to church and are not a Christian you might not know what I am talking about. Near the start of the book of acts in the bible, the disciple’s receive Holy Spirit before they start their ministry. Jesus was also baptized and received Holy Spirit before He started His ministry. Matthew 3:16. Lets have a look at what Acts has to say.

Acts 2:1-6 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like of fire, and it sat upon each of them And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. (UKJV)

It is worth reading on but this will do for what I want to look at. When you speak in tongues it doesn’t mean you will be speaking another earthly language. Tongues is God’s language not of the earth. Sometimes God uses tongues to speak to people in their on language.

God is God but He is also Jesus and Holy Spirit. The trinity. I don’t know how it works but it just does. That’s what I believe. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Jesus. In Joel 2:28 we are told that God will pour out His spirit on all flesh. I believe God did that on the cross. When Jesus died and came back the Spirit was given. Peter confirms Joel 2:28 in acts 2:17,18,33. I believe that all have the Spirit either with them or in them right now and it’s been like that since Jesus died. The fact that you are reading this shows that Holy Spirit brought you here. I also believe that all are saved and born again. All sins are cleansed. There is NO SIN. All sickness is healed. You don’t have to repent to become a Christian. It is already done. Like I have already said in my other blog’s all you have to do is choose to know them. (Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit).

I thought I would share two scriptures, which help support, my theory on every one being saved, healed, reborn, sin cleansed etc.

Romans 3:22-23 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (UKJV)

1 Timothy 4:10-11 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. These things command and teach. (UKJV)

Very interesting. In Romans 3 its by Jesus’ faith that all are righteousness. Not ours. Not a choice we make. Jesus has done it for us. The 1 timothy 4 is even better as Jesus is the saviour of all men. The NKJV says especially. But look what Paul commands us to do. We are to command and teach these things. I have so many scriptures, which are similar to these. I would run out of space. Just thought I would share.

What is this tongues/spirit thing all about? Again this is a study all in its self. I will try to explain. Holy Spirit was sent to us so He could teach us and show us who God is and what we need to do to know Him and to show us the truth. Tongues is a language that only the Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit know. I include Jesus because I assume He does understand it. There is no scriptural basis for this. It’s just what I have come to understand.

This language is a gift. Jesus told us to baptise in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19. Baptise is to immerse, overwhelm, submerge. I don’t truly understand it but I know it works. The language of tongues is used in many ways, which we will look at later.

How do I get this gift?

Being that you are already saved all you need to do is ask. I will also pray that you receive the gift of Tongues.

I baptise you in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Father I ask in your Sons name that you will give the reader of this blog the gift of tongues. I ask Holy Spirit that you would fill them up and release this gift to them. Open their eyes to your truth and show them your love.

Now receive the gift. Let Holy Spirit rise up from your belly and just begin to speak. You will begin to make funny sounds, which can sound like a baby talking. Don’t worry just keep trying. Holy Spirit will help you. If you are not sure then there are videos on you tube of people speaking in tongues.

If you don’t want to do this that’s fine. I have found that since I have been doing the things I am about to share with you my knowledge and experience of Gods love has grown in a huge way. But don’t feel like you have to do it. I leave this up to you.

Study.

I have found that this is a good way to find out more about God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. But you do need help. In my other blog’s I have explained about the stories in the Old Testament. It is hard to find a God of love in the bible. Really it is only in the book of John that the Father is truly known. I find now that study has done what it need’s to and I am concentrating on the other things now. It is a good place to start. But let Holy Spirit guide you.

Talking in the Spirit.

This is not praying. What I do is I sit and I act like I am having a conversation with God. What I do is say “Father…..then I speak in tongues. I speak to them like I would speak to a new friend but in tongues. It is strange at first but it is worth doing. I do speak to Jesus and Holy Spirit in this way as well. When I first started I didn’t know whether I should talk to Jesus and Holy Spirit like this, but as time has gone on I have found it is worth doing. If you are a Christian then it will seam weird but I would say go with it. If in doubt then ask Holy Spirit and He will help you.

Praying in the Spirit.

I just pray in tongues. When I do this I find if there is anything, which needs to be dealt with in my own life then that’s when Holy Spirit does it. I have had many visions when doing this. Sometimes I will listen to some music with out lyrics like classical music while I am doing this. I have had some amazing times doing this. I have meant God in a big why in these times.

Worship in the spirit.

This is huge for me. When I was younger I was a worship leader in my church. We would sing a lot in English but not much in the spirit. When I started my journey 3 and half years ago I would sing in English then a little in tongues. As I continued I found there was so much more freedom when singing in tongues than there was in English. Now I only worship in tongues. I have had many encounters with God, Jesus and Holy Spirit in these times. It is the most amazing thing for me and I wish that churches did it more.

Jesus tells us in John 4:23,24 that a true worshipper of God will worship in spirit and truth. Oh and the truth in that scripture is not hymns or English songs. It is the truth of God. I only say English because that is my language.

I have found that worshipping in tongues for other people has helped in their healing. Just thought I would add that. When doing this I also split my time up singing to each of the trinity. When I first started to worship Holy Spirit alarm bells went off because I didn’t know whether it was right. Now how ever I do it out of love for Him. He is just as much God as God is. Holy Spirit has been left out for far to long. But that’s just me. Try it.

Talking to Them.

I love doing this. Every night before I go to bed I sit in my room with the door shut. I start with Father and I just talk to Him. I will tell Him about my day. What my concerns are and any problems I am having. It’s like when you meet up with a friend. You might go out for coffee or a meal. You talk about life. That’s what I do with them. I have found that I talk to each of them about different things. One thing I have found is I tend to thank them a lot and tell them how great and wonderful they are. I also talk to them about scriptures that I don’t understand. Most of the time I get insights into what I am having problems with. A lot of the things that I have written about have come from these times.

At the end of me talking I will sit and ask God, Jesus and Holy Spirit if they have any thing to say to me. This is hard to start with because there are lots of things that go through your mind when you try to listen. I have found that it’s the small quite voice that is them. Any thing that is kind, loving and compassionate is normally from them. Sometimes I will do this for a few minutes other times it has been longer. The idea is to give them some time to talk to you.

You don’t have to do this at night. You can do it at any time. I have found now that any spare time I get I am talking to them.

I hope this has helped. It has been quite a personal thing for me to share but I really want people to know who God really is. If this helps than that’s great. At the end of the day God wants to have a relationship with you. He wants to know you and for you to know Him. That’s why His Son gave His life for you. I have found that it’s like any new friendship. It takes time but it’s worth every minute.

I hope that this blesses you. God Bless.

You may want to check your facts! This is the same thing as saying anybody can do anything (most sinfully or not) and not have to even ask for forgiveness. Jesus did die on the cross so that are sins may be forgiven. However, we very much DO need to come to Him asking for and claiming that forgiveness only He can give.

If I wanted to argue semantics with you I could easily say the likes of the worst murderers in all of history would not need to repent of their atrocities. Sure, we can choose to “know” God. But nobody knows the Father in the sense you are suggesting. At least not in the sense I think you are referring. If I went out today and killed people in cold blood without asking God to forgive me and not being truly repentant in my heart, I will not be forgiven. It is the same as saying to God, “Yeah, I did that. So what? You should forgive me because I say you should. I do not need to be sorry for my crimes or ask for forgiveness.” I can also use the example of the thief on the cross whom Jesus forgave at the last moment. He forgave him because the thief asked for forgiveness. The other thief did not and thus did not join Jesus that day in paradise.

Additionally, I commend you for wanting to bring people closer to God. We as Christians / followers of Jesus should do just that. And yes, love is at the core here. However, I could not sit idly by without mentioning what I believe the Spirit led me to say as a gentle rebuke and correction.

I would ask that you dig a wee bit deeper into His Word to understand what salvation is and how it is obtained. I would enjoy reading what you find.

Blessings to you and praying for you!

    1. Thank you Liz for your comment. It was the only part of this blog which i wasnt quite sure of. You have prompted me to do more research. I know that repent is to change your mind. I think when confronted with the love of Jesus you cant but change your mind. Thanks again for your rebuke and correction. I will go and look into it more. God bless.

  2. I disagree with several things you say but that is neither here nor there because the main thing is that you believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died and rose again so we could be reconciled to God even though we’re sinners and can have eternal life with Him in Heaven after our mortal bodies die. I’m not a theological scholar either so I’m not going to quibble over interpretations of scripture.

I do applaud your efforts, though, in wanting to spread the love of God!

One thing, though… I’d like for you to clarify what you mean when you say “All sickness is healed.” In what context do you mean that? Are you talking about in heaven or here on earth? Are you saying that no believers will be, should be, or are sick? How can you say “all sickness is healed” if people are suffering, even after prayer, from sickness such as chronic conditions, cancer, etc all the time?

    1. Hi. Thanks for your comment and kindness. The sickness thing is a majour issue. Why are christians sick? The reason i say all sickness is because of my studies of isaiah 53. In verse 4 it says that Jesus took our sicknessess and bourne our pains. From what the scriptures say we all should be healed. But we are not. The word saved is sozo which can mean healed, made whole. I believe it should be now here on this earth. I have had a few victories in my own life with sickness but i have seen many sorrows. When i have an answer i will tell all. God Bless. Chris.

      1. Hi again. I just read your comment again and saw that i hadnt said anything about non believers. This is what i believe. When Jesus died on the cross and when He was beaten sin was cleansed from Him by His Father. All sickness was healed aswell. By what the bible says everyone everywhere whether they believe or not should be healed now. Jesus told us to heal the sick. It should happen but it doesnt all the time. If you look at the success of the disciples and then look at pauls disciples you see a difference. Some of pauls disciples where sick. Could it be that paul teaching that we have to suffer for christ is why we do? The church does preach from pauls teaching alot i have noticed. Just a thought. Jesus taught us that we can do what He did. Why it doesnt work that way i dont know yet but i am asking and hoping to find out. The kingdom is for now. How we get it is still a mystery but i am hoping not for long. Hope this helps. God bless.

  3. You said: “When Jesus died on the cross and when He was beaten sin was cleansed from Him by His Father.” But take a look at the verses below…
1 John 3:5 says “And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him.”
2 Corinthians 5:21 says “For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.”

    1. Hi. Thanks for your comment. Isaiah 53 tells us about Jesus being beaten for our sins and bearing them. 1 John 1:7 (NKJV) But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. This tells us about being cleansed of our sin. 2 Corinthians 5:19 (NKJV) that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. This shows us that God was in Christ on the cross. As for your two scriptures what are they saying.

The 2 corithians 5:21 answers the 1 john 3:5. Jesus had no sin in Him before He went to the cross and was beaten. This happened so He could fulfill the law and be cleasned of sin. I think both these scriptures are saying that there was no sin in Jesus until He bore all sin to be cleasned by His Father. Thats how i see it. Hope this helps. God Bless.

      1. Yes, exactly. Jesus never sinned and had no sin himself, which is why he was the perfect lamb of God (God in Jesus) to sacrifice himself for our sins. He bore all our sins, past, present, and future, so that we could be reconciled to God. Wow, now that is the ultimate expression of love! Don’t you agree?
I think it was just the way you worded it before that made it sound like it was Jesus’ own sin that was cleansed from Him, when really it was that Jesus took all our sin from us and that was what was cleansed from Him, not His own sin. God was in Jesus but had to leave Him for just a short time so that He could take on the world’s sins. Matthew 27:46 At about three o’clock, Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” which means “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?”
Since our God is holy and cannot have anything that is not holy in His presence, the world’s sins had to be cleansed from Jesus so that he would be made holy again (just as He made us holy by cleansing us of our sin), then He could return to heaven and sit at the right hand of a holy God. (Mark 16:19, Ephesians 1:20, Hebrews 10:12, Colossians 3:1, Romans 8:34, etc)
Now that Jesus made us holy through His sacrifice, we too can enter the presence of a holy God. Hebrews 10:19 “And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus.”
But we can’t take what Jesus did for us for granted and continue to do whatever we want to, continue to purposefully sin, and slip back into our old ways of acting before we chose to be in relationship with the Lord. We have to work at living a holy life. Hebrews 12:14 “Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.” And 1 Peter 1:14-16 “So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.””
        God bless.

  4. Hi. Mia. Thanks for the comment. I didnt mean Jesus had His own sin. I did try to see where i might have said that but i couldnt find it. I am glad its sorted now. I understand that the scriptures point to God being holy and He can not be near sin. I do believe that God is Holy. But i also believe He is love. That love surpasses all else. There is no scripture for this its just my own experience. I believe God doesnt have a problem with sin. We see this in Jesus. Jesus never said that God hates sinners. God is love and love covers all sin. God loves everyone and wants them all to know it and He waits with open arms. Thats just my thoughts. God Bless.
